Movement, Pregnancy and Postpartum Care
Dr. Courtney grew up in Calgary as a competitive dancer, and that early interest in movement led her to chiropractic. Her career began in Orange County, California, where she treated a wide range of musculoskeletal concerns before her focus turned to women's health and the physical demands of pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
She's certified in the Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner. Both shape how she looks at maternal comfort, pelvic function and balance during pregnancy. Postgraduate training in Active Release Technique (ART) and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) lets her pair hands-on treatment with movement-based rehab. She takes time over each assessment and builds a plan around the patient's own goals, and she works alongside midwives, physicians and other maternity care providers where it helps.
Becoming a mother in 2021 gave her a personal sense of how pregnancy and postpartum life change the body. Outside the clinic, Dr. Courtney spends time with her husband and two children, tries new restaurants and fits in a hot yoga or Pilates class when she can.
